Adapter took a 10 year year old NICAD battery Harbor Freight impact wrench and made it perform better than new with my RYOBI lithium batteries . It added a few inches to the impact gun but that is how it had to be.
I love that I can keep my same platform and increase the tools I have without having a dozen chargers and batteries.

I love my Hercules tools, and have 3 chargers and numerous batteries. That said, I need a few other tools, like a Milwaukee 2 gallon vacuum, and other assorted red and yellow tools. The adapters allow me to use my Hercules batteries, saving me TONS of money!
The adapter fits my tools perfectly and performs flawlessly so far! It has brought new life into the tools from the old nicad batteries! Great idea… very satisfied with the purchase!
The adapter fit perfectly. I now have a way to extend the life of my bolt-on drill.
Works nicely. It does have a fair amount of play between the battery and adapter but otherwise decent quality.
Update, 7/8/2026 to 3 stars: Support was quick to reply and open an investigation as to my problem adapter. Hopefully this is just a “one off” thing and they can double check remaining inventory for the issue. I would advise anyone receiving the adapter to double check polarity before using it. This can be easily done with a multimeter if you have one handy.
Original review post: As soon as I connected the M18 battery onto the adapter with my B&D drill, there was a pop and instant burning electrical smell. I immediately removed the battery and proceeded to investigate. I quickly found the issue. The adapter was manufactured with incorrect polarity. It was properly marked/labeled with the correct embossing in the plastic, but the internal wires were taking the + from the M18 battery to the negative terminal of the B&D output, and vice versa. Needless to say, my drill was fried.
Totally recommend, my AEG battery works a treat.
Works a lot better with the adapter, takes 3-4 vacuums before I charge it.
